Rose Ikabod Chitala is the Co-Director and Acting Treasurer of Wakwetu Organization, where she contributes to both the strategic leadership and financial oversight of the organization. She plays a key role in guiding programs, managing resources, and ensuring effective communication and accountability within the organization.
Rose holds a professional background in mass media, bringing extensive experience in journalism, communication, and public engagement. She has worked for many years with some of Tanzania’s leading media organizations, including IPP Media and Times FM. Through her media career, she developed strong skills in storytelling, broadcasting, and raising public awareness on social issues.
At Wakwetu Organization, Rose uses her expertise to strengthen outreach, promote advocacy initiatives, and amplify the voices of underserved communities. In her role as Acting Treasurer, she also supports financial planning, transparency, and responsible management of organizational funds.
Her combined experience in media and leadership makes her a valuable asset in advancing Wakwetu Organization’s mission to empower communities and create lasting social impact in Tanzania.
